Adidas and Allbirds are rivals in the sports shoe market, but at the same time they have jointly created a new series, the first work is Futurecraft.Footprint low-carbon footprint running shoes.

The two companies shared private technology and materials this time, working together for the goal of inventing a low-carbon design process and high-performance zero-carbon running shoes. The result of the plan is the Futurecraft.Footprint prototype, which has a carbon emission of 2.94 kg per pair, which is 63% lower than the 7.86 kg of the Adzero RC3 of the same level.

They not only selflessly share materials, supply chains and innovation, but also produce synergistic effects. For example, Adidas' Lightstrike midsole technology combines Allbird's sugarcane fiber Sweetfoam raw materials to create a new low-carbon natural material.

In addition, the new fabric is soft and light, with excellent performance, and is made of 70% recycled polyester, combined with 30% natural wood pulp Tencel, to achieve a win-win situation.

This project takes less than 12 months. The first batch of 100 pairs will be given priority to Adidas Creators Club members in May. The second batch will be launched in autumn and winter with another 10,000 pairs, and will be further listed in the spring and summer of 2022. The price has not yet been announced.

The official release date has not yet been determined. Follow yepsneaker to get the latest news at any time.
